Biologically, women who have long hair are more attractive because long hair is a sign of health (Unfortunate for us short-haired women). Same goes for big breasts and white teeth. Health = beauty.

Dunno for sure. But long hair does look far better on girls. Mebbe it looks better on boys too, but since the society is not used to seeing long haired guys much, it doesn't look that good. Men must've begun cutting their hair after they began finding it bothersome
