Should i grow and donate my hair to locks of love again?

Last summer i cut of 11 inches of my hair and donated it to a really great cause that makes wigs for children with cancer. I can't decide wether i should continue to grow my hair again and do it a second time. It was a great feeling knowing that i can help a kid with cancer but my hair is extremely thick and knots easily when too long. Im stuck!! What sould i do?

Locks of love made only 113 wigs in an entire year, they SELL the majority of the hair received (for extensions) and they do not allow for independent auditing of their financial records. Who knows where the money from selling hair really goes to, somebody's pocket perhaps ?

A lot of hair doesn't even make it Locks of Love, type in "human hair ponytail" on EBay and look at all those listings. That hair is being sold to hair fetishists.

If you don't mind your hair ending up on Paris Hilton's back or sold to a pervert though ....... go ahead and "donate"

If you really want to help "kids with cancer" though sell the ponytail yourself and donate the money to the American Cancer Society. Money can help find a cure, a wig does nothing.

Absolutely, if you can deal with it while it grows long enough to donate. Depending on how long it is now, it could be long enough to donate in a matter of months. If this is something you feel good about, why not do it again?

Yeah! I did it and all my friends did too! It is a great feeling. Remember, your hair can grow back. The kids hair cant!

I've done it twice and it made me feel reall good, even though I don't know whom my hair went to. Just think of the little girl that would gain her confidence back around other children. To me the silent gift was the best gift.
